Ashley Nielsen earned her Master’s Degree from Fort Hays State University with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a Minor in Art, from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.


Ashley has worked in a variety of settings, including an inpatient community mental health facility, a college counseling center, and a mental health crisis response center.  Her experience includes working with adults, adolescents, families, and college students.  She has also received specialized training in relationship therapy and couples counseling.  Ashley utilizes techniques from many different therapeutic approaches including Attachment Theory and Person-Centered Therapy.


When Ashley is not working, you can find her reading a good book, caring for her garden, or playing with her mischievous orange tabby cat, Holli.
